Summer Camp

Ravinia's seven-week long Summer Camp is open to children ages 3, 4, and 5.  Many families send their children to our summer camp prior to starting our 3 year old Morning program and/or children moving from the Morning program into the Afternoon program.  For both age groups, Summer Camp serves as a nice transition into the fall programs and ensures the children experience the continuity that is so important at these young ages. 

Ravinia currently offers two camp options.

• A five day a week program (Monday through Friday)

• A three day a week program

Regardless of the program, all children attend in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Much of the program takes place outside on our playground. In addition to the playground equipment, the paint easels and water tables are also brought outside. Activities involve sand and water play, group games, sport activities, arts and crafts and special projects. The children also spend time singing, listening to stories, learning about pets, taking nature walks and gardening. During the camp program the children will bring their lunch and end each day with a picnic on the playground.
